The original plan for Alberto Del Rio marked his first reign as World Heavyweight Champion after defeating Edge in Royal Rumble 2011, but this, obviously, did not. According to the Wrestling Observer has in mind that Del Rio becomes the second heel to win a Royal Rumble Match and become champion in Wrestlemania 27.
The only wrestler who has been capped maximum at Wrestlemania WWE champion to win a Royal Rumble Match is up now, Yokozuna, who defeated Bret Hart in 1993.
